Camp Chug-A-Long

Thinking of a summer camp video experience that will 'chug' along with some cool stories, characters, and incredible trains of all shapes and sizes?

If so, your adventure begins here!

Camp Chug-A-Long is bringing the Gold Coast Railroad Museum to summer campers at home with Historian Cesar A. Becerra!

With summer camps being cancelled due to COVID-19 and parental safety concerns, GCRM is launching a new series of thirty 'vlogcasts'.

The vlogcasts will be provided to campers through a subscription service platform, which, once registered, each camper will receive one daily access email for 30 consecutive days, a gift subscription that will benefit a kid-camper in need, and a one year family membership to the Gold Coast Railroad Museum.

Cesar A. Becerra, the Gold Coast Railroad Museum's former Director of Education, has researched Miami's origin story- particularly regarding the deal that Henry Flagler made with William and Mary Brickell and Julia Tuttle - for the last 25 years. He has also portrayed Flagler and his right hand man, James Ingraham for many years at Everglades National Park's 'Vintage Days'.

The Gold Coast Railroad Museum is and will continue to be a great resource for our community, and for the education of both our youth, and adults. Our many historical artifacts, including the U.S. Presidential Car No. 1 'Ferdinand Magellan,' SAL Baggage Coach #259, and U.S. Army Hospital Car #89436 are irreplaceable, and intertwine with our nation's history and that of our community.
