Can I take photos at the museum?
Yes, you can take casual photos of your visit at the museum!
HOWEVER, to the Gold Coast Railroad Museum, a photo shoot is an ocassion when a photographer, and/or person(s), take pictures of person(s), models, families, and/or famous people using a camera, professional camera, and/or cell phone to be used in a newspaper, maagzine, website, portfolio, personal portfolio, portraits, social media, and sale.
Photo shoots include, but are not limited to:
-Any photo session including outfit and/or make-up changes, and anything that contains collections belonging to the Gold Coast Railroad Museum within these lines including its railcars and props can be CONSIDERED a photo shoot.
*The Gold Coast Railroad Museum reserves the right to refuse ANY photo shoot services that do not follow our rules and regulations, including the financial awareness of our photo shoot fees.
What is there to do at the museum?
There are a veriety of things to do at GCRM!
Our train shed includes twelve (12) rail cars that you can view from the exterior, of which ten (10) rail cars are are open to the public to go inside of, view the history, and take casual photos in. Many of our rail cars also include running videos to watch in accordance to the car. You can also take a tour of the U.S. No. 1 'Ferdinand Magellan' for $5 per person.
We also display many pieces of railroad equipment and other awesome historical artifacts!
Towards the back, we have a model display room in which multiple scales can be run, and Thomas Play Tables for the little ones to get a chance and play.
In our plaza area, we have picnic tables to give our visitors the chance to bring their lunch and eat it on our property, and a sandbox for kids to enjoy.
In our museum store, we have a Richmond Naval Air Station exhbibit to view.
We also offer train rides on the weekends, and free admission/train rides on the first saturday of the month (except for March)
Are you connected with the zoo?
We are just adjacent to Zoo Miami down Zoo Drive (second entrance to your right!), but are completely seperate from the zoo.
We do, however, offer a discount towards admission for zoo members with proof of membership!
When is your Free Admission?
Our free admission, or 'Free First Saturday' is every FIRST saturday of the month, except for March.

You sure can!

When is the museum closed?
Gold Coast Railroad Museum is closed on Christmas and New Years Day, and select days throughout the year when we set up for large events (Late February and late November).
Tune in to our Facebook, Instagram, or our website if you plan on visiting around thes times for specific closing dates.
Is it true that you have rail cars for sale?
We have some of our rail cars, locomotives, and railroad equipment for sale listed on Ozark Mountain Railcar.

What are your hours of operation? Admission prices?
On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we are open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
On Saturdays and Sundays we are open from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
Adult Admission - $10.00
Child Admission (Ages 3-12) - $8.00
Children 2 and under - FREE
Seniors (55+) - FREE on Wednesdays and Sundays
We offer admission discounts for zoo members, AAA, military, and more!
