Julia Tuttle Remembrance
September 14, 1898

Julia Tuttle, Mother of Miami is credited heavily with putting Miami on the map and building it up from swampland. We honor her legacy by proudly displaying FEC rail cars, the same rail cars that brought the world to Miami.

Destruction of the Hangars

Dwight D. Eisenhower Birthday
October 14, 1890

A hurricane caused a fire in one of the hangers where the fire quickly spread to the two other hangers, destroying the hangars, blimps , 366 planes, and 150 cars.

Dwight Eisenhower spent his presidency traveling by rail and plane. He was the last president to actively use the Ferdinand Magellan during his presidency that we have available for tours!
